Luxury Castle for Rent

No expense has been spared to restore the castle to make your luxury break as comfortable and unique as possible. This is the ideal location to make time for you and your friends to indulge in the ultimate castle experience. Relax and enjoy yourself whilst joining in a range of activities at this exclusive use venue.

Overlooking Loch Ness and set in 500 acres of beautiful highland countryside this stunning castle is an image only seen in fairy tales.  In 1626 the castle was first recorded as a mansion house and is now the only habitable castle on Loch Ness and a classic example of Scottish Baronial Architecture, all that you would expect and more from a Grade A listed Highland Castle.

Individuality is waiting for you in each bedroom and bathroom with touches of Edwardian values.  With high ceilings and large windows with a maze of landings, towers and worn staircases, the welcoming roaring fires only add to the atmosphere and takes you back to a bygone era.

State bedrooms overlook the Loch with 15 opulent bedrooms in total, 13 double bedrooms, of which 4 can be twins and 2 single rooms interconnecting with 2 of the double bedrooms (ideal for families) 9 of the bedrooms have en suite facilities.  With grand four poster beds draped in rich colours and surrounded by elegant furniture, indulgent bathrooms with attention to detail, a quirky shower hidden high up in a turret, crisp cotton sheets and luxurious fluffy towels everywhere you look is a delight.

The reception rooms are welcoming and as you walk through the hall to the Red Drawing Room and Library with the open fire you will feel as though you have arrived home. The Laird's Room is for entertaining and the Dining Room is designed for stylish and elaborate fine dining, accommodating 26 seated guests and 50 in the Great Hall.

You may prefer to take care of your own catering arrangements, however, if required, you have the services of a team of chefs, cleaners, managers on hand, who can accommodate all of your catering and housekeeping requirements if needed, it is entirely up to you.

The castle is all about having a good time and is let on an exclusive use basis for private parties, corporate events, team building, weddings, filming, photo shoots or a special celebration for family and friends.

Luxury Wedding Venue

The fairytale castle is as breathtaking on the outside as it is inside.  The castle has an intimate atmosphere for both small and large events catering for up to 50 guests within the Great Hall and for larger receptions or a marquee can be erected in the stunning grounds. You might be surprised to know that you can get married anywhere in Scotland; on top of a mountain or on a white sandy beach. The beautiful Dores Church is close by if required or the castle is licensed for civil ceremonies. Intricate, quaint and colourful with arbours, orangeries and bridges – the formal gardens are a delight with lots of photo opportunities.

Wedding packages are available and an event planner will assist you if you wish.  Imagine being piped into your reception by the bagpiper, locally sourced dishes, Scottish Smoked Salmon freshly caught accompanied by various champagne and wines from the castles own cellar.  The Castle has exuberant taste, charm, tranquility and an elegance that goes hand in hand with a beautiful bride on her perfect day.
